The Creation of Action Takers Publishing Inc
Lynda Sunshine West worked in the corporate world for 36 years and had 49 jobs, her last job was working for a Judge in the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. At age 51, she decided to quit her cushy government job and follow her dream and passion of becoming an entrepreneur. She spent seven years trying to figure out what type of business to run, who to serve and how she would make money.
In May of 2020, Lynda Sunshine launched her first collaborative book, Momentum: 13 Lessons From Action Takers Who Changed the World. What began as a "fun thing to do" ended up being the start of something much greater than Lynda Sunshine ever imagined. She had so much fun building a community of authors while sharing their messages that she decided to do it again with The Fearless Entrepreneurs and Invisible No More; Invincible Forever More.
In the summer of 2021, while Lynda Sunshine was in the process of publishing Fearless and Invincible, Sally Green contributed her story in both books. Sally said, "Hey, I can help you with this if you want." Lynda Sunshine gratefully accepted Sally's offer of help. The two books were published eight days apart and both became #1 International Bestselling books in less than five hours.
Lynda Sunshine realized that book publishing is her passion and decided to dump all of her other entrepreneurial endeavors and jump right in. She asked Sally to join her mission of empowering 5 million authors to share their stories. Sally agreed. They changed the name of the company to Action Takers Publishing and the rest is history.
